DELIVERING AND TRANSFORMING THE MIND ONE SOUL AT A TIME………….
Exemplifying spiritual excellence, leadership, and empowerment, the purpose of the Linwood Church of Christ Education Ministry is to establish and oversee the curriculum, evangelism literature, and teaching staff of the church and its bible classes. It is to plan, organize, and oversee spiritual education, vacation bible school, general and special classes, teacher meetings, appreciations, and other special bible programs. The church is instructed to do so according to:
Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Therefore, we would like you to come, worship, study, and work out your salvation with us, the doors are open, and the members are humbly waiting to welcome you with a great smile, a warm hug, and loving fellowship.
GENERAL Curriculum designed to EMPOWER THE SOUL
Our General Sunday Morning Bible Study is designed to instruct “expository of the books of the bible” lessons.
Our General Wednesday Evening Bible Study is designed to instruct “topical sacrificial living” lessons.
The purpose of the evangelism ministry is to advertise the good news throughout the city, and to reach out and assist with the direction and spiritual growth of delinquent and non-Christians. It involves canvassing, public ads, mailings, bible correspondence, home bible studies, special assemblies, and training classes for workers.
The aim of the Linwood Church of Christ is not to amuse or entertain, but to reach out, save, and keep souls saved through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the proclamation of God’s word, the Holy Bible (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Our campaign is to teach and preach Jesus Christ, his death, burial, and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), for his death has the ability to wash away our sins. His burial has the ability to grant victory over, and in our lives. And, his resurrection gives us eternal hope in this life and the eternal life to come.
In spite of who, what, or where we are, God sent his Son to die for our sins (John 3:16), and to help us re-establish, with unity, a relationship with God.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:9-10, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” He also said in Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (The wages of sin is death and separation from God (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23)). Jesus said in John 8:34, “…Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” Again, Paul said in Romans 6:16, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
However, in Romans 15:19, Paul said “For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”
Today kick sin, unrighteousness, and separation out, and VOTE JESUS INTO YOUR HEART. The Hebrew writer said in Hebrews 3:15, “While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” (God’s word, the Holy Bible, is his voice (Romans 10:17, 2 Timothy 3:16), and it is true (Romans 3:4)). Peter also says in 2 Peter 1:10, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”
VOTE JESUS by repenting of your sins (change your mental heart to follow him (Matthew 7:21)(Luke 13:3), believing in him (John 3:16, Hebrews 11:6), confessing him as Christ, as your Lord and Savior (Matthew 10:32), and being baptized for the remission of your sins (John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38). Immediately, God will add you to Jesus Christ’s Church, his Son, (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:47), which is the preparation grounds for an eternal mansion and rest with God (John 14:1-4).
